About VVC

Van Vactor Construction, LLC strives to be the leader in the area of commercial and industrial construction for Northern Indiana.

Founded by David Van Vactor, VVC’s focus has been on building clients extraordinary buildings at a not so extraordinary price. Dave saw that other construction companies were not maximizing their productivity in certain construction areas and in the long run it was costing the client, and not the company, more money with change order after change order…Dave inevitably wanted to stop that.

Starting with the initial meeting, the staff at VVC will look at what the client wants and expects out of the construction process. Doing an in house conceptual drawing of the building, the client is able to see what their building will look like and what, if any, changes need to be done.

Construction timelines are of an utmost importance to the client and VVC understands this. Meeting with the client prior to starting any work, VVC goes over the timeline and discusses how the project will progress. It is at this time that all questions will be answered and if any aspect of the building or the project needs to be altered, VVC can incorporate the changes into the project.

Van Vactor Construction, LLC is hands on with the client and updates them as to the project status and where they are at on the timeline continually. If any questions do arise or the client is concerned about a certain area, VVC will be there to answer any questions that may come up.

Building what the client wants is the primary goal and striving to reach that goal is the #1 priority.

Services

Van Vactor Construction, LLC prides itself on being an exemplary general contractor.

As well as using the most experienced subcontractors, VVC employs an in-house excavation and carpentry divisions that gives them the advantage over the competition.

Mobilizing an excavation crew to do the prep, grade work, and finish work for a project is not an easy task if you have to outsource it. This is the reason that VVC has put the time and money into building up the strong excavation team that has helped streamline their projects and decrease the timeline for completion of the project.

VVC’s excavation division can move into a project and can have the site ready for the concrete crews to do their preliminary work on the building foundation. The excavation crew stays on site, working on final grade, the loading docks, if applicable, and the exterior finish. Having an in-house excavation division makes it possible to do this all in an economical way, without the delay of waiting for a subcontracted excavation company to mobilize in. The excavation portion of a project is important to VVC to insure the project start up meets the quality and speed required to give them the advantage necessary to allow for short timelines from start to finish that their customers may require. Because of their strong work force in this division, they can keep one step ahead and make the project flow more smoothly.

VVC’s carpentry division is important to the company, as well. Speed, quality, and adherence to timelines allow them to control the scheduling of the other trade subcontractors. Knowing the speed at which the carpenters can frame out the interior walls, subcontractors can be scheduled accordingly. This helps with completing the project on time with an experts touch.
